About me
I am a New York State licensed psychoanalyst, a member of the Contemporary Freudian Society, and a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytic Association. My approach to psychoanalysis is rooted in the Freudian tradition.
In my private practice in Manhattan, I work with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression, phobias, obsessional thoughts, or repetitive patterns of self-defeating behavior.
I see patients in both English and French and have particular experience working with Francophone expatriates, as well as with patients who may be struggling with issues related to sex and sexuality.
Prior to obtaining licensure in psychoanalysis, I earned a Ph.D. and an M.A. at Princeton University. My doctoral dissertation examined the legacy of Plato’s concept of melete thanatou, or the attentive contemplation of death, in the work of the French philosopher Jacques Derrida, whose thinking is deeply engaged with the discoveries of Sigmund Freud.
I am also a graduate of the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), where he obtained a Master 2 in Economic Law. I worked in the legal field for several years in Paris before beginning my doctoral studies at Princeton.
I hold a B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and a CEFR C1-level Certificate of Proficiency in Modern Greek from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
